General overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Daniel Olukoya and wife Shade have been presented the United States Presidential Achievement Award.
The duo was given the award on Sunday in Houston, Texas.
The church shared a video on Instagram of the couple being presented the award, congratulating them on the “incredible success”.
“A Big Congratulations to our Spiritual Parents on their incredible success. Today in Houston, TX our parents were awarded with the PRESIDENTIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from the United States President, President Joe Biden,” the post read.
The MFM said it was grateful for visionary leaders like Olukoya and wife for always starting the course for them and progressively setting excellent standards for them to follow.
“For everything you represent, for every life you impacted, for every destiny you nurtured, for every sermons that shaped us, your mentorship, coaching, modeling and leadership, we say a big thank you for accepting the call of God,” the post further read.
A professor, Olukoya is credited as the first Nigerian scientist to clone genes.
Recently, the MFM Mountain Top Chorale, representing Nigeria, joined over 11,000 singers from more than 30 countries in Auckland, New Zealand for the largest choral competition, the 2024 World Choir Games.
They competed and won a gold medal in Category C19 – Contemporary Music Mixed Voices and earned 88.13 points.
Their performance featured ‘Ekiti Medley’ composed by Olukoya and arranged by Seun Owoaje.
