Singer Danny Young has accused his more popular female colleague Tiwa Savage of intellectual theft on her recent single ‘One’
Danny Young alleged in an Instagram post on Thursday, that the mother of one lifted part of his 2009 song ‘Oju Tiwon’ without seeking his permission.
He even made a mash-up of both songs to highlight what he sees as similarities and justify his grievances.
“The worst pain is that my song was stolen by Tiwa savage who happens to be one of my favorite female artiste (sic),” he wrote.
Tiwa Savage recently made history as the first African female to win the Best African Act Award at the 2018 MTV EMAs.
She bested compatriot Davido, Nyashinski (Kenya), Fally Ipupa (Congo), Distruction Boyz (South Africa) and Shekinah (South Africa) at the award show held at the Bilbao Exhibition Center, Bilbao, Spain.
