Vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Datti Baba-Ahmed broke down in tears on Sunday over insults he said are directed at his family by political opponents.
The incident happened during a live broadcast of a town hall meeting organised by Channels Television on Sunday.
Mr Baba-Ahmed, who recalled the loss of his father, said his family became target of attacks after he was nominated as Mr Obi’s running mate.
“I and my family have been paying a huge price for my attempts to rescue Nigeria. They sent all sorts of people after me.
“I would have been much happier if only they stopped at me as an individual,” he said.
