Beckham, who is extremely good at playing football and staying handsome, is in line to join the likes of former Manchester United teammate, Eric Cantona, and Tottenham icons, David Ginola and Gary Lineker, as ex-footballers who have successfully swapped the pitch for screenplay.
The 40-year-old football legend recently ventured into acting and is touted to be in line to replace Daniel Craig as the super spy when the latter eventually steps down.
Beckham has already been cast alongside Harvey Keitel in a short film, Outlaws, made by the Belstaff leather brand.
His role in the movie earned him plaudits from his own son Romeo, who expressed this via Instagram.
“Such a good movie daddy xxx,” the 13-year-old said.
Daniel, 47, has hinted that the latest film Spectre might be his last as Bond.
When asked if he would make his return as the famous spy, he said: “I don’t know. I really don’t know. But we’ll see.”
Beckham revealed he is determined to make it as an actor, but is aware of the possible pitfalls ahead.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star added: “I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed.
“But what I have done so far I have loved.”
The player who had over a century caps for the Three Lions also had speaking role in Knights of the Roundtable, a movie which will be released next year.
He said of film director pal Guy Ritchie: “He wouldn’t put me in a film if he thought I was going to ruin it.
“I had 13 lines and practised a huge amount.
“I would love to do more, but I can’t just jump into roles that are too big for me.
“I want to build up my experience and see where it takes me.”
