Pop star Davido has expressed conviction that his uncle Governor Ademola Adeleke would be victorious at the Supreme Court in the case against his election.
Ex-governor Gboyega Oyetola dragged Adeleke to the apex court after the Court of Appeal ruled in the latter’s favour months after the Osun Election Petition Tribunal sacked Adeleke as governor.
Delivering judgement in March, a three-member panel of justices in the appellate court held that the election tribunal erred when it ruled that the first and second respondents (Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress) proved their allegation of over-voting.
The Supreme Court is to give its verdict on Tuesday on the appeal brought by Oyetola.
Awaiting judgement, Adeleke tweeted, “God is going to win today.”
Davido reacted, “Amen unc 🙏🏾. we got this!”
