Davido cancels US tour to sign out of NYSC orientation camp

Pop singer, Davido, has announced the cancellation of his US tour due to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) obligation.

The singer was registered at the NYSC camp in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos on August 29 for a three-week orientation programme.

He, however, left camp in a manner that contravenes the NYSC law to embark on a performance tour of the US.

With his Batch B scheduled to end its orientation exercise on Monday, September 17, the 25-year-old is heading back to the camp.

“Due to scheduling conflicts and NYSC commitments in Nigeria, the remaining dates for the Davido Locked Up Tour has been cancelled,” he wrote in and Instagram post on Friday.

“Refunds will be made available at point of purchase. Davido and his team are working hard to reschedule all dates plus add new dates in the near future. I love guys and see you soon.

“I apologize to all my fans but duty calls. But I promise new dates would be announced for Houston Dallas LA and San Francisco. We will reschedule and add more dates. Shout out to all the fans who sold out each city so far.”

Davido had earlier announced that he will be performing at Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rallies in Osun to support his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, who is contesting the September 22 governorship election.
