Singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has confirmed that he and his fiancée Chioma will be getting married soon.
Blogger Stella Dimoko-Korkus first broke the news on Tuesday, June 11. She revealed on Instagram that the couple plans to have a traditional wedding ceremony on June 25 at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
“Sources say there is excitement in both families as it would be an event that would bind them in love and strengthen family ties,” she wrote, adding that the exact reason for the choice of date was known only to Davido and Chioma.
Fans and well-wishers received the news with enthusiasm, eagerly awaiting the formal union of the couple.
The confirmation from Davido came later on Tuesday through a video shot in London with Pastor Tobi Adegboyega. In the video, Davido can be heard inviting friends to his wedding, saying, “Guys, you have to come to Nigeria on the 25th, it’s my wedding.”
Since the announcement, the couple has received an outpouring of congratulations and well-wishes from fans and celebrities alike, celebrating the joyous development following the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi, in 2022 and the birth of their twins last year.
