Popstar Davido has congratulated Charles Soludo on winning the governorship election in Anambra.
Mr Soludo, 61, won with 112,229 votes, defeating his fiercest rivals Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 53,807 votes; Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress who got 43,285 votes; and Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressive Party who polled 21,261 votes in fourth position.
“Congrats sir…It’s just simple!! Let votes count! Congrats on my Anambra people ! Over to your excellency,” Davido wrote in a tweet on Wednesday.
Actor Yul Edochie also congratulated the governor-elect and his deputy on Instagram.

Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, won 19 out of 21 local government areas.
