Pop musician, Davido, has thrown his support behind musician, Banky W and comic, MC Jollof as the 2019 general elections draw closer.
The 26-year-old singer urged his followers to support the young politicians via an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Sharing campaign posters of both men, Davido wrote, “Support Youth leaders 🇳🇬 #defendyourvote.”
Banky W is the Modern Democratic Party’s (MDP) candidate for the Eti-Osa constituency in the House of Representatives.
MC Jollof, born Freedom Atsepoyi, is the African Action Congress’ (AAC) candidate for the Warri constituency in the House of Representatives.
Davido, on Sunday, said entertainers were tired of being threatened and coerced to stay out of politics in a series of posts on social media.
He stated that Nigeria was the business of entertainers as well and they had stakes in how the country is being run.
