Singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has met with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, calling him an inspiration.
The 27-year-old made this known when he shared pictures from the meeting on Twitter late Saturday.
”Ever since I first heard of your triumph and good governance in Oyo State. I’ve been wanting to meet you and I’m glad I did! You truly inspire me and with leaders like you the future is definitely bright! God bless you @seyiamakinde,” he wrote.
After the meeting, the ‘Fall’ singer faced criticism for performing at two different events in Ibadan, the state capital, in clear violation of the ban of gatherings of more than 50 people put in place to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
Mr Makinde was similarly criticised for organising a mega rally for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which was attended by hundreds of people despite the coronavirus crisis.
The governor later apologised for his actions.
