Pop singer, Davido, has laughed off the inclusion of his company, Davido Music Worldwide Ltd, on the list of tax defaulters in the country.
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) published the list on its website on Monday.
Also included in the 19,901 consolidated tax defaulters’ list are Obasanjo Farms, owned by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo; and Iyiola Omisore & Par, owned by former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, among others.
In alphabetical order, Davido Music Worldwide takes 2387 place, Iyiola Omisore & Par takes 4654 position, while Obasanjo Farms Ltd. is placed at 17705.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Davido, 26, who is the most viewed Nigerian artiste on YouTube, said he was on his ‘cash shit’.
“Lol I’m on my cash shit 😂,” he said.
FIRS said it had taken possession of the bank accounts of the tax defaulters, adding that the accounts would be under its possession until they regularise their tax status.
