Singer Peruzzi who is signed to Davido’s label DMW has revealed that his relationship with Davido helped him overcome shyness.
The ‘Nana’ singer born Tobechukwu Okoh in an interview with Chude Jideonwo on the talk series #WithChude said his time with Davido has improved his understanding of the business side of music.
“When I met David, the only thing I knew was how to write songs. I didn’t know any other thing but now, I know the music business. I used to be a very shy person and David used to tell me, ‘when I’m walking, don’t be at the back, walk beside me.’ I lived with him for two years and was collecting the energy every morning and that made me realise that this is where you’re supposed to be no matter how long it took you, you’re finally where you’re supposed to be,” he said.
The 31-year-old gave plaudits to his team for handling the publicity for his single ‘For your pocket’ which was released in 2017 two days before his mother’s death.
Peruzzi also denied having sexual relationship with Chioma Rowland mother of Davido’s son.
