Award winning artiste, Davido, on Saturday paid tribute to his friend and disk jockey, Olu Abiodun, popular known as DJ Olu, ahead of his performance at the Wireless Music Festival in London.
Davido dedicated his performance at the event to Olu, son of Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Heyden Petroleum, Dapo Abiodun.
In a post to Instagram, the ‘Assurance’ singer wore a red shirt with the inscription “Long Live Olu” written on it.
He captioned the picture, “WIRELESS WE DEY HERE!!! #LongLiveOlu.”
The 25-year-old announced in May that he was missing the late friend in a post to Instagram.
He posted the picture of the late disc jockey with the caption, “Woke up missing you …. love you bro,” he wrote.
DJ Olu and another friend, Chima, were found dead in a car belonging to the former on October 7, 2017.
It was later reported that hard drugs were recovered from the BMW car in which the two died.
