Singer Davido has reacted to the questioning of socialite Obi Cubana by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
A source told NAN that “Obi Cubana was arrested and brought to the EFCC headquarters on Monday afternoon over allegations of money laundering and tax fraud.
“He is being grilled by detectives as we speak,” the source said.
Reacting in an Instagram story on Tuesday, Davido uploaded a photo of the club owner, reaffirming that the socialite is rich.
“Obi nwere ego (Obi has money),” he wrote.
Obi Cubana made headlines for several weeks in July over the lavish funeral for his mother, Ezinne Iyiegbu, in Oba, Anambra State.
The star-studded ceremony had celebrities and politicians Kanayo O Kanayo, Davido, Kcee, E-money, Cubana Chief priest, Peter Obi, Shina Peller and Abba Kyari in attendance.
