Singer David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has reacted to claims that he was paid $10 million to perform at a royal wedding in India.

The rumour began after reports surfaced that Davido would perform at the wedding of Indian media personality Alkesh Thavrani and his partner Sheetal Mazda, in Udaipur, India.

Davido stirred excitement online with clips of his grand arrival in India.

In videos shared on his Instagram stories on Friday, the singer was seen arriving on a ship and stepping onto Indian soil to a lavish welcome ceremony.

One of the videos captured flower petals being showered on Davido as he joyfully embraced the royal treatment.

Spinning around in excitement, he appeared thrilled by the warm reception.

News quickly spread that the singer was paid $10 million (approximately N17 billion) to perform at the event.

Reacting to the claims, Davido jokingly addressed the rumour on his Instagram story.

Tagging the groom’s handle he wrote, “Where my balance” with laughing emojis, implying he did not receive the figure circulating online.
