Pop star Davido on Thursday night attended the birthday party of his cousin, Nike Adeleke.
Nike shared videos from the birthday party on her Instagram story on Friday.
In one of the videos, Davido is seen sitting close to the celebrant, singing and dancing to songs playing in the background.
This comes days after the singer wiped off his Instagram feed, leaving only three posts amid his social media break. He also deleted his profile picture.
One of three posts Davido left on his feed is that of his son Ifeanyi’s third birthday last year before his death. Ifeanyi died by drowning in a pool at his parent’s Banana Island house in Lagos.
The photo for the second post was taken at Lusail Stadium in Qatar while the singer was preparing to perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in December. The photo shows his wife Chioma ensuring he was all set for the performance.
The third post was from the performance. Davido was among those who treated tens of thousands in the stadium and millions of people across the world to a beautiful performance of the World Cup theme song ‘Hayya Hayya (Better Together)’.
The singer managed to put up an energetic show despite losing his son in October.
In solidarity with the ‘Stand Strong’ singer, his close associates have also deleted their Instagram profile photos.
Among them are socialite Cubana Chief Priest and Davido‘s personal logistics manager, Israel Afeare aka Isreal DMW; Davido’s manager, Asa Asika; and his attorney Bobo Ajidua.
Israel DMW replicated Davido’s moves to the letter by not only deleting his profile picture but also all the posts on Instagram.
