Singer David Adeleke, popularly as Davido, has stormed Osun State to begin his campaign for his uncle Ademola Adeleke who is the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for this Saturday’s governorship election.
A video of the singer with his convoy was posted on social media on Wednesday, July 13.
In the video, Davido is seen amongst the crowd who hailed him as he drummed support for his uncle.
Adeleke was declared the winner of the primary held at Osogbo City Stadium in March, under the supervision of Deputy Governor of Bayelsa, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
His nephew Davido who has been a proud supporter of the politician took to his Instagram story on Tuesday to congratulate him.
“Imole congrats. Congrats Osun,” he wrote in one post.
In another post, Davido wrote: “UPPERCUT @ademolaadeleke_01.”
Ewhrudjakpo urged all other aspirants to join hands with the winner to enable the party to win the July 16 governorship election in the state.
In his acceptance speech, Adeleke said that there was “no victor, no vanquished” in the primary election.
