Pop musician, Davido, has urged supporters of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, to remain calm after a Court of Appeal upheld Gboyega Oyetola as the governor of Osun state.
The 26-year-old singer made the appeal in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“🙏🏾 Delay is not Denial I love y’all ❤️,” he wrote.
Davido also promised his fans that the case would be taken to the Supreme Court.
Earlier in Thursday, Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has ruled in favour of Governor Gboyega Oyetola of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Osun 2018 governorship election.
Senator Ademola Adeleke of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had earlier emerged victorious in the election petition tribunal.
Justice Jummai Sankey, in her lead judgement on Thursday, ruled that the entire proceeding of the tribunal was of “faulty composition”.
Four out of the five-man panel upheld the judgement.
