Singer Davido has made a U-turn after vowing to acquire the diamond neck chain of Canadian rapper Drake.
A few days ago, Drake made headlines after showing off the chain, worth N1.7 billion which Davido indicated an interest in.
However, in a message posted in an Instagram story on Thursday, the singer withdrew his plans saying he was drunk when he made the statement.
“I was drunk the day I said I wanted this, sorry guys,” he wrote.
In another post, the 29-year-old said that contrary to what people think, he can afford the chain but it would be a dumb investment. He added that although he does not have the kind of money Drake has, he knows where to get it from.
He said: “See people here in the comment section so happy or think I cant buy this…I actually can but it would be a dumb investment..I deff personally don’t have Drak’s money but I know where to get from! Ma fo!!”
