Utibe, the young boy who became a social media sensation after he was recorded singing Davido’s hit, If, has lost his mother.
The news of the woman’s passing was broken by Instagram user, @shamrock80s, who recorded the clip of the boy singing while he should have been in school.
According to him, Utibe’s mum died before she could move into the house Davido was building for her and her son.
Davido had promised to take care of the boy’s education and build a house for him after he came across the video of him singing his song.
The 24-year-old rich kid later posted pictures of the house under construction on Instagram.
He also promised to visit the boy when he returns to Nigeria from his 30 Billion Tour which began on June 23.
