Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Art (BEFFTA) on Thursday honoured Nigeria’s D’banj with the Entertainment Icon of the Year award.
The Kokomaster received the honorary award at the Parliament House in Westminster, London.
D’banj, 36, is currently in the United Kingdom for his tour of three cities, which will kick off in Manchester on Friday, Birmingham on Saturday, before rounding off the show on Sunday, November 13 at the Indigo O2 arena in London.
The ‘Fall in Love; singer, who has been in the Nigerian music industry for over a decade, will be performing alongside Triple MG artiste, Tekno.
D’banj has been nominated alongside Darey Art-Alade, Brymo, Simi and Adekunle Gold for the 2016 Headies best recording of the year award.
