Singer Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, has commended Funke Akindele and her team for their efforts in her latest movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa.
On Monday, D’banj shared photos from the star-studded movie premiere held at the IMAX cinema in Lagos and praised the actress for an outstanding production.
He wrote, “About last night for #EverybodyLovesJenifa 💥 I must greet @funkejenifaakindele and the entire cast and crew so specially for such an amazing performance. December 13th, we outside! Go and watch Actor, Bangaleeee OooSsHEeeEeEee 💥”
During the premiere, Funke Akindele expressed deep gratitude to D’banj for his unwavering support of her and the Jenifa brand.
She recounted how the singer, fondly called “Bangalee,” sacrificed his own commitments to back her project.
“A big thank you to Bangalee; he was supposed to travel for a project. I begged and begged and begged,” Funke revealed in her speech.
“He told his guys to cut the project, and he would do this for me, and he did it at no cost.”
The premiere held on Sunday attracted a host of Nollywood stars and entertainers, including Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Bisola Aiyeola, Iyabo Ojo, Nancy Isime, Patience Ozokwor, Layi Wasabi, Stan Nze, Chimezie Imo, Omowumi Dada, Blessing Obasi and Kiekie
