Award-winning music superstar, D’banj, has returned to social media after several weeks of absence, following the death of his son 13-month-old son Daniel Jr.
In a post to Instagram on Thursday, the 38-year-old shared a gloomy photo of himself, revealing that the past few weeks have been a difficult one for his family.
He went on to thank his team and fans for their love and support.
“The past few weeks have been incredibly trying and difficult, but God’s love has kept me and my family going. I can’t thank my team enough and the incredible love from you all. May God keep us all. #StrongerTogether,” he wrote.
D’banj’s son, Daniel, drowned at the family’s home in Ikoyi, Lagos in June.
The singer’s wife, Lineo, was said to have been at home when the tragic incident occurred.
The sad incident happened one month after Daniel celebrated his first birthday.
Nigerian celebrities such as Don Jazzy, Tonto Dikeh, Flavour, amongst others have expressed deep shock and sadness at the unfortunate incident.
