Singer Simi has urged the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency following the death of medical doctor Chinelo Megafu and others.
Chinelo, who died from injuries sustained during the Abuja-Kaduna train attack, had tweeted that she had been shot, asking for prayers.
Reacting in a Twitter post, Simi wondered why the government is yet to declare a state of emergency following the terrorist attack.
The 33-year-old also criticised those who have declared their support for the government.
“So…it’s business as usual? Just like that? No outrage? No State of Emergency? And some people have the actual audacity to support this government with their conscience intact? Wow,” she tweeted.
In another tweet, the mother of one wrote: “It is too much.”
Filmmakers Ego Boyo and Mildred Okwo have also reacted to the attack.
