Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, has corrected false news about his son, Eniafe, meeting Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
Mr Momodu had earlier in a tweet on Monday shared a picture of his son meeting Mr Amaechi.
In another tweet on Monday, the publisher wrote that an unnamed person had alleged that the child in the picture was Amaechi’s son.
“MISTAKEN IDENTITY… Someone posted this: “Dear Rivers Youths, the picture u are looking at is Rotimi Amaechi and his healthy son Chimankpam Amaechi, this boy study in one of the best school in the UK while you are here planning to have a violent protest.” He is my son ENIAFE,” Momodu wrote.
Dele Momodu was criticised by Twitter users for advising the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, to concede defeat to President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the wake of the elections.
Momodu was one of the most vocal supporters of Atiku’s presidential bid.
Amaechi was the director-general of President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election campaign.
The advice to concede was interpreted by many as the media mogul attempting to realign his political ties.
