Media mogul Dele Momodu on Saturday met Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Emirates Stadium in London.
Both men saw the Gunners’ first game of the 2023/2024 Premier League season which ended in a 2-1 victory against Taiwo Awoniyi‘s Nottingham Forest.
Goals from Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka secured victory for Arsenal. An 82nd minute strike by Awoniyi was not enough to bail out the visitors.
Mr Momodu, who was at the stadium courtesy of his London-based friend and financial consultant Yemi Edun, shared videos of his meeting with Mr Sanwo-Olu on Instagram.
The publisher of Ovation Magazine stressed that though he and Sanwo-Olu are of different political parties, they support same football club.
“Just saw the Governor of Lagos quietly watching the ongoing Arsenal match at the EMIRATES STADIUM in London… DIFFERENT POLITICAL PARTIES, SAME FOOTBALL TEAM,” he wrote.

Momodu also met his friends Teslim Folarin and Femi Tejuoso at the stadium.
In June, Sanwo-Olu hosted Saka in Lagos when the Arsenal youngster visited Nigeria for the holiday.
He described the football star as his best player in the Arsenal squad.
