Media personalities turned politicians Dele Momodu and Reuben Abati have praised Niteshift Coliseum founder Ken Calebs-Olumese who clocked 80 on Monday.
Momodu and Abati posted their tributes to the man fondly called Guv’nor on social media.
“Happy 80th birthday celebration to The GUV’NOR of Governors, PA KEN CALEBS-OLUMESE, the man who catapulted us from Boys to Men from around 1990 and changed the face of entertainment and hospitality in Nigeria,” Momodu wrote.
The chairman of Ovation Group ended his post with “Many happy returns Sir…”
Arise News anchor Abati wrote: “The Guv’nor, icon of Nigeria’s entertainment sector, founder, chairman of the Niteshift Coliseum, the flagship of entertainment centres for more than two decades promoting arts and culture, tourism and the discovery of new talents, is 80 today. Eighty happy cheers to the Guv’nor from the University town of Ekpoma, the only Guv’nor who never went on leave, who kept busy promoting inclusion, joy, co-operation, creativity and the Nigerian brand. A microbiologist by training, son of a priest by birth, he became the Don Cornelius of Entertainment in Nigeria. He was more. A living legend whose story must be told at greater length. Congratulations sir, on your 80th birthday. Best regards.”
Another entertainment promoter Edi Lawani wrote on Facebook “Happy birthday to the Guv’nor Ken-Caleb Olumese, as you turn 80 today. More blessings, sir.”
