Dele Odule, Adebayo Salami, Yinka Quadri rally round Ogogo on 65th birthday celebration

Taiwo Hassan aka Ogogo

Actors Dele Odule, Adebayo Salami and Yinka Quadri have come together to celebrate Taiwo Hassan popularly known as Ogogo on his 65th birthday.

Ogogo marked the special occasion on Thursday by sharing a picture of himself in a black agbada, his signature dark shades, a traditional cap and walking stick.

His post, filled with gratitude, read: “Today, I celebrate not just a new year but a journey filled with blessings. 🙏 From every high to every hopeful moment, I know it’s all thanks to the Creator and my Ori.

“Every step forward, every brighter day—this path is guided, and I’m so grateful. 🌅 Here’s to embracing more growth, peace, and purpose. 🎉 Happy Birthday to me! If you’re here with me, drop a birthday wish or share something you’re thankful for today! Let’s spread the love.”

Fans and fellow celebrities joined in the celebration, filling Ogogo’s comment section with well-wishes.

Other actors also marked the day on their own Instagram pages.

Adebayo Salami known affectionately as Oga Bello wrote on his page, “Happy birthday to an outstanding filmmaker whose contribution to the development of arts and culture is indelible. I celebrate you, my brother, @ogogotaiwohassan.”

Dele Odule wrote, “Taiyelolu ejire, Ogogo omo ‘kulodo. Happy birthday to you, my amazing friend and dear brother.

“Grateful for the gift of friendship and wonderful memories of sharing the screen. I wish you all the blessings on this great day. May your light never die. Congratulations and many happy returns, @ogogotaiwohassan.”

Yinka Quadri, another long-time friend and colleague, also honoured Ogogo writing, “A blessed and wonderful Happy Birthday to a great friend and accomplished actor. May you live long and prosper, @ogogotaiwohassan.”

This celebration follows reconciliation between Yinka and Ogogo earlier this year.

In May, the two movie stars resolved their differences at a housewarming and birthday event for their colleague, Yomi Fabiyi.

Their reunion was facilitated by Yoruba chanter Sulaiman Ajilara also known as Ajobiewe.

Rumour of a rift between them surfaced when Yinka was notably absent at Ogogo’s daughter’s wedding and naming ceremony.
