Nollywood actor and director, Desmond Elliot, has received his certificate of return for the Lagos State House of Assembly to represent Surulere 1 Constituency.
Mr Elliot shared a picture of himself with the certificate via Instagram on Friday.
“To Hom be the Glory , Honour , and Adoration . Received my certificate of return.
“I’m grateful to Surulere for this privilege. I’m humbled and I assure you that I’ll give my best at representing you . Congratulations to my Rt Hon Speaker @mudashiruobasa and Honourable colleagues . May we together take Lagos to greater heights,” he wrote.
Desmond Elliot was re-elected into the Lagos State House of Assembly on March 9.
The Returning Officer, Bolajoko Dixon-Ogbechi, of the University of Lagos declared him winner at the Surulere Local Government Collation Centre in Lagos.
Mr Elliot of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 15,357 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Benjamin Olasunkanmi, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 3,628 votes.
