Triple MG boss, Ubi Franklin, who clocked 31 on Thursday, is having a party the day after at Tilt Terrace in Lekki, Lagos.
Ubi, who has experienced marital turbulence and lost his partner, Iyanya, since his last birthday, has a lot to party about.
For one, his estranged wife, Lilian Esoro, and Iyanya sent him birthday messages on Instagram.
Secondly, his label’s artiste, Tekno, is doing well locally and internationally.
“The best time (he probably means ‘thing’) about worse times is that you get to see the true colours of everyone,” he wrote in a thank you message on Instagram.
“When I look back on my life I see pain, mistakes and heartache. When I look in the mirror I see strength, learned lessons and pride in myself.”
The trouble in Ubi’s marriage started unfolding when his wife didn’t say anything online on their first wedding anniversary and also unfollowed him on Instagram.
Ubi’s separation from his wife coincided with Iyanya leaving TMG.
They were reportedly at loggerheads over finances and other key issues in the running of the label.
Ubi dreams are that one day he will become the governor of his home Cross River State.
