Actress Destiny Etiko could not hold back her tears on Tuesday while her friend and colleague Lizzy Gold narrated her encounter with robbers on her way to Enugu.
Lizzy took to Instagram on July 5 where she narrated how she was attacked by armed robbers on Sunday, on her way to Enugu from a movie shoot in Asaba, Delta state.
According to Lizzy, Destiny Etiko and another actress Mary Igwe warned her against traveling at night but she insisted on travelling because she had a job to do in Enugu.
Narrating the ordeal, Lizzy said the robbers stopped her while in traffic and demanded her phones and money, when she tried resisting, one of them slapped her which resulted in her screaming, alerting the attention of fellow motorists and passersby, leaving the robbers with no other choice than to flee the scene.
Reacting in the comment section of the video Lizzy posted, Destiny dropped crying emojis, saying that she asked Lizzy not to travel on the said day but the latter refused.
She wrote: “Baby I told u not to go ooo thank God u are safe boo. pls next time listen to advice o.”
Speaking further on the attack, Lizzy said: “I told him I saw other cars passing through the same lane. The next thing, I wanted to wind up and he put my hands down and came in. Brought his head inside. My PA was seated beside me. His partner went to the order side of the window. So, the guy brought his head inside the car and said, if you make any noise, I will shoot you.
“He brought a gun and pointed at my stomach and told me to bring out everything that I have. He said I should give him my phone. I told him to take money instead of my phone because he would not be able to use the iPhone. I brought money out, as I was giving it to him. He said I should tell my brother to bring out all the money he has. I told him the PA is not with any money. I begged them after they threatened to kill me.”
