Dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has arrived Loko, a town in Nasarawa State, to which he was banished.
The monarch arrived at his new abode around 3 am on Tuesday.
Traditional ruler of Loko, Abubakar Sabo, confirmed Sanusi’s arrival at his palace.
Sabo, a first-class traditional ruler, however, said the press would not be allowed to interview Sanusi.
“Yes, Emir Sanusi is in my palace. He arrived this morning around 3 am, but no one will be allowed to speak with him,” he said.
The Kano State Government dethroned Sanusi on Monday, hinging its action on the former Central Bank of Nigeria governor’s “outright disregard for the state government and Kano Emirate’s traditional norms.”
