Comedienne Lepacious Bose has disclosed some of the health challenges she had while she was overweight.
The lady whose real name is Bose Ogunboye spoke on Saturday at a news conference to mark the second anniversary of EZ Slim, a product by Herbal Pro and the unveiling of an online health and wellness newsletter in Lagos.
“I was obese for 25-years. I was never happy being fat and I had health challenges like my thyroids were aggravating, I was depressed, for two years I was not menstruating. I was so emotional and each time I visited the hospital, they will ask me to go and lose weight,” the University of Ibadan theatre art graduate said.
Lepacious Bose shocked fans and foes alike when she announced in 2015 that she had gone from size 32 to 18 in 12 months.

The massive loss of weight has also meant loss of revenue for the artiste whose character was built around her frame.
“Though, I was making a lot of money because it was easy cracking jokes about my being fat. Now that I am slimming down, I do not make so much money anymore,” she revealed.
Health, like they say, is wealth for her now.

“Presently, I am now a size 16. Two years ago, I was obese with a weight of 198kg.”
