Singer Hadiza Blell, better known as Di’Ja, has revealed her age, ending years of speculation about her year of birth.
The former Mavin Records signee made the revelation on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Monday in a message to celebrate her birthday.
“I turned 39 years old today. I thank the Almighty Allah SWT for His mercies on me. My husband, my family, friends and supporters, thank u so much for all the wishes today. Hehe sharing my new passport photo, time for renewal,” she wrote.
Her age on Wikipedia at the time of filing this report was 34.
Di’Ja got married to a man identified simply as Rotimi in Kaduna in December 2015.
She told an X user who thought she got married early that “I got married at 30, I don’t think I’ve done anything early in life.”

The mother of three also shared videos of her birthday gifts including a cake from Mavin.
“Thank you to my family, friends and family at Mavin for my cakes. I must gain weight this year,” she wrote.
Di’Ja joined Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records in February 2014 with the release of a single titled ‘Yaro’.
Replying to a follower who thought she was 17 at the time, the singer said “I was 27/ 28 years old when he signed me. Don Baba is truly an enigma. Forever grateful.”
She is currently promoting a single titled ‘Zaria’ off her EP APHROPOP Vol. 2 while working on an album called Late Comer.
