Senator Dino Melaye says he has accepted the apology of Instagram celebrity Roman Goddess for posting a video of her visit to his hotel room.
The influencer had taken to social media to share a video of her visiting Melaye whom she described as her “uncle and daddy” in a hotel.
The politician knocked her immediately the video went viral, saying he was not anyone’s uncle.
However, Roman Goddess apologised on Wednesday in an Instagram post, saying she was not trying to jeopardise his image as a public figure.
Melaye wrote on Thursday via Instagram that he had accepted her apology, but cautioned against the act.
“Apology accepted. My kobo advise (sic), next time take a loan from brain bank,” he wrote.
The former Kogi lawmaker is currently in Ondo State ahead of the governorship election slated for Saturday.
The candidate of Melaye’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Eyitayo Jegede is contesting the seat with the incumbent Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
