A car dealer known as Unique Motors has accused Senator Dino Melaye of owing the balance for a Mercedes Benz since 2019.
The dealer called out the former Kogi West lawmaker on Thursday in a post to Instastories.
Melaye is pictured standing beside the car in the photo uploaded to the platform.
“We just wanna be paid balance of this car since 2019. Is it too much to ask? @dinomelaye,” the dealer wrote.
In response, Melaye dismissed the allegation in a post to Instagram, threatening to take legal action against the dealer.
“No be only unique motor! If l am really owing you, you know what to do,” he wrote. “Abi na social media you sell the imaginary car? All of una wey dey use my name promote your obscure Business…God know una address ooo. But for this unique nonsense my lawyers go reach you. You dial trouble.”
Melaye, a lover of luxury cars, has a fleet of them in his garage.
He does not pass off opportunity to show off his cars to his over two million Instagram followers.
Just before the allegation was made, he posted pictures of a Range Rover on Instagram and teased his critics to “talk your rubbish while l cruise The RR”.
