Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has agreed to appear before the police a day after security men laid a siege to his Abuja home.
Melaye was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Monday morning on his way to Morocco but disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
His disappearance led to the deployment of policemen to his house, prompting a standoff that lasted all day.
He, however, tweeted on Tuesday morning that he would make himself available to the police, saying he has nothing to hide.
The senator, who claimed the day before that there was a plot to kill him, added that he will not be cowed.
I will make myself available to the police today. My resolve to speak the truth and defend the poor masses of NIGERIA is Total. We shall overcome!!!
