Facebook has assigned a verification badge to the account of Senator Dino Melaye.
The former federal legislator proudly made the announcement in a post across social media platforms on Thursday.
“I have been verified on facebook. General public take note. Every other account with my name on Facebook is fake,” said Melaye.
Melaye also has his account verified on Instagram – a company owned by Facebook – with 1.6 million followers.
The former Kogi West senator is, however, yet to have his account verified on Twitter where he boasts of 1.8 million followers.
