Senator Dino Melaye has played his first lead role in Nollywood in a new movie titled The Bean Super Shaped Hero.
The former Kogi legislator plays a patient with a kidney condition alongside an ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Diane Russet.
The movie produced by Terver Malu and written by Ade Faponle for Zenith Health Care Access Initiative, was shot before the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
Melaye shared the movie’s trailer on his official Instagram page.
According to the movie’s producer, every actor who featured in the project are real doctors, consultants, nurses, and front line health workers asides Melaye and Russet.
Melaye has featured in several Nollywood movies. Last November, he starred in Lemonade alongside Kunle Remi, Linda Osifo, Mofe Duncan, Real Warri Pikin among others.
He has also featured in a key role in new TV series, Equity Unbound.
Melaye officially joined the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in March.
