Senator Dino Melaye on Sunday held an indoor memorial service on the second death anniversary of his mother Comfort Melaye.
Singers Steve Crown, Moses Bliss and Emma Onyx provided music at the “praise evening”.
The former Kogi West lawmaker also had friends from the National Assembly attend the event.
In a tribute posted to Instagram, Melaye said he missed his mother every second.
“Momo Dino it has been two years today that you departed this sinful world of ours. I miss you every second of these two years mummy. I love you and hope to catch up with you again. Mummy mi, best mother on earth, my friend, my jist mate. Odigba kan na. Iya oninure sun re,” he wrote.
Melaye shared photos and videos from the memorial service on Instagram.
The late Comfort Melaye, who passed on aged 70, was buried in July 2019 in a Bible-themed grave at Elder J. E. Melaye’s residence, Jesus’ Street, Iluafon quarters, Ayetoro Gbede, Kogi State.
