Senator Dino Melaye has expressed his desire for Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta to leave the club following a string of defeats in the Premier League.
Arsenal have not recorded a win since the new season began, losing to Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Following a humiliating 5-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, Melaye made a video posted to Instagram singing, “Mikel Arteta, you are the source of our problem”.
He concluded his song by praying that every power keeping Arteta at the Emirates should “die”.
To further express his anger at the coach, the former Kogi West lawmaker shared a photo of Arsenal fans seemingly praying. “God please deliver us from our coach,” he captioned it.
Melaye recently mocked Arsenal by claiming to be the club’s most recent signing.
Arsenal, meanwhile, may well have a breathing space when they take on Norwich City at the Emirates in their next Premier League match on September 11 after the International break.
