Veteran actor Paul Obazele has expressed his anger over rumour that his colleague Zack Orji has died, saying that disaster will meet those wishing the ailing movie star dead.
Rumour that the actor has passed on started circulating on the internet on Tuesday, forcing the national president of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Emeka to debunk the speculation.
In a video uploaded on his YouTube account on Tuesday, Paul Obazele fumed over the rumour. The 58-year-old issued a warning to those spreading the rumour, trekking them to repent or meet their doom.
He said: “I am doing this video out of anger, I don’t understand why somebody will wish people dead, Zack Orji is not dead and with permit from the wife I am doing this, I want to remind this person that is carrying this evil information of what Matthew 27 says, that death you wished Zack, you will carry it with your head.
“You will not see help if you don’t repent from this, disaster will follow you and your household, stop this evil message you are spreading, Zack Orji is alive, Zack Orji is not dead, please stop it, stop it now.
Zack, 64, slumped on December 29 2023 and was admitted to the intensive care unit of the National Hospital in Abuja, before he was transferred to a private hospital for surgery.
