After days of self-isolation, celebrity disc jockey DJ Cuppy has finally joined the #EndSARS protest at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos State.
The 27-year-old on Sunday shared pictures of herself carrying a placard at the protest ground on Instagram.
Her face was covered to hide her identity.
The pictures were, according to her, taken on Friday.
“I went out to protest not to please people but because I need to tell my children that I was part of history.
‘Lazy’ Nigerian youth are changing this country for generations to come and as a 27 year old, I couldn’t be prouder,” she wrote.
Cuppy had been in isolation for a week since she returned from Dubai.
Before joining the protest in Lekki, she stood in the rain in her home, carrying a placard which called for an end to police brutality in Nigeria.
