Disc jockey, Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has paid tribute to her mother, Nana Otedola, in celebration of International Women’s Day.
On Saturday, DJ Cuppy took to Instagram to share a heartwarming video of herself and her mother singing and dancing together.
In the caption, she expressed deep appreciation for her mother’s role in shaping the woman she has become.
“I CANNOT celebrate the woman that I am without celebrating the woman who made me, my mother. This International Women’s Day, I celebrate her and every woman making the world better,” she wrote.
Nana is a businesswoman and wife of billionaire Femi Otedola.
She is the founder and owner of Garment Care, a dry-cleaning enterprise she established before her husband’s significant venture into the oil and gas industry with Zenon Petroleum and Gas in 1999.
International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global celebration of women’s achievements and a call to action for gender equality.
The first official celebration dates back to 1911, originating from early 20th-century labor movements in North America and Europe.
