Disc jockey Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has responded to the criticism over her father Femi Otedola’s endorsement of All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu as the next president of Nigeria.
Cuppy started trending on Twitter on Tuesday after the news of her dad praying for Tinubu’s presidential ambition circulated on the internet.
Some social media users accused Otedola of being part of the establishment as they dragged his daughter into the matter, others say the billionaire has a right to support whoever he wants.
Cuppy who appeared to be offline at the time, came on Twitter hours later to react to the criticism.
The 29-year-old first expressed shock over the manner in which she was dragged into the matter.
In another Tweet, DJ Cuppy wrote: “I’m trending now and I know why.”
