Born Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola to billionaire Femi Otedola, Cuppy began her career as a DJ at 16 in London, buying second-hand equipment and playing in clubs.
In 2014, she was the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Durban. Later that year, she released House of Cuppy, her first compilation mix in both London and Lagos.
In January 2015, she featured on the cover of the Guardian Life magazine alongside Yemi Alade, Fade Ogunro, Stephanie Coker, Yagazie Emezi and Ronke Bamisedun.
She was also featured in the 2015 April/May issue of Forbes Woman Africa.
The King’s College London graduate is currently on a month-long performance and charity tour across the continent in a project tagged Cuppy Takes Africa.
