Comedian Basketmouth has humorously responded to Nigerian artiste Wizkid after the singer made a comment comparing the fashion sense of Davido’s ex-lawyer to Basketmouth’s in a series of jabs aimed at Davido.
Since Tuesday night, Wizkid had been throwing shades at Davido, escalating the tension by involving the latter’s father.
In one of his comments Wizkid said, “Fuck you and your dad’s money, we got ours!”
He also claimed that Davido couldn’t match him in terms of music, style or wealth.
“You’re not as fly as me, you can’t sing or make music like me, you can’t dress, and you don’t make more money than me,” Wizkid said.
Among the insults, Wizkid took a dig at the fashion choices of Davido’s lawyer saying, “Your dumb ass lawyer flies with you everywhere dressed like Basketmouth lol. Our lawyers are too busy for day shit.”
In response to the mention of his name, Basketmouth known for his sharp wit, shared a lighthearted video on Instagram on Friday.
In the clip, he was dressed in a stylish black designer outfit, accessorised with sunglasses, a necklace, and polished shoes.
With his trademark humour, Basketmouth asked Wizkid, “Yo bro, @wizkidayo, does this work for you?”
Fans quickly flooded Basketmouth’s comment section, praising the comedian for his sense of humour and taking the comment in stride rather than escalating the situation.
