Music manager Don Jazzy has buried his mother popularly known as Indian Picolo who died of cancer.
The burial reception held in Lagos on Friday at the Monarch Event Centre was attended by celebrities and friends of Don Jazzy including Tiwa Savage, Dayo Adeneye, Kenny and ID Ogungbe.
Mavin Records’ old and new artistes such as Ayra Starr, Dr Sid, D’ija, Korede Bello, Crayon, Ladipoe, and Don Jazzy’s brother, D’prince graced the event.
Don Jazzy announced the death of his mum in an Instagram post on July 22.
He wrote: “I lost my sweet mother this morning. The matriarch of our family. My supporter and backbone @indianpicolo. I am beyond devastated.
“I have never felt pain like this in my life but I am consoled by the good life she lived. She was loved by everyone that ever met her. She was so strong till the last minute for us even while she battled with cancer. I have never typed a more difficult caption in my life. Please pray for our Mums soul to Rest In Peace and for strength for my dad, my siblings, her grandchildren and our entire family to bear this loss.”
Born Michael Ajereh, Don Jazzy is from Isoko in Delta State.
His dad, popularly referred to as Mavin Grandpa, is a businessman, music promoter and manager.
His mum was also known as Mavin Grandma.
Don Jazzy’s mum hailed from Umuahia in Abia State.
