Singer and songwriter, Kelly Hansome, has revealed that ace producer, Don Jazy, got him arrested twice.
Kelly Hansome, born Kelechi Orji, disclosed this in a birthday message to his army captain friend in a post to Instagram on Sunday.
He reminisced how Don Jazzy allegedly set him up with a stolen laptop to make it look like he was a fraudster which got him locked up.
“HBD to the most rugged Capo @awwalbiu The two times our brother @donjazzy and his people orchestrated my arrest, one for making a cover to the song ‘Feeling Good’ and the other when they set me up with a stolen laptop in a quest to make me look like a fraudster,” the post read in part.
Media reports in 2011 revealed that Kelly Hansome was been arrested and detained at the Garki Police Command Headquarters, Abuja.
The supposed arrest was said to be in connection with his ‘admitted willful infringement’ of stealing the intellectual property of the then Mo’Hits Records.
Sources suggest that it was the Mo’Hits camp that filed a complaint against Kelly Hansome which led to the arrest.
Kelly Hansome is regarded as a controversial artiste after releasing diss songs like ‘Igwe Komkom’ which took to a shot at the then Mo’Hits Records crew.
A computer science graduate of the Madonna University, Kelly Hansome’s biggest song, ‘Magga Don Pay’, was released in 2008 on the Kennis Music label.
