Don Jazzy took me in after I left Ubi Franklin – Iyanya

Pop singer, Iyanya, has revealed that music mogul, Don Jazzy, helped him after he left Ubi Franklin’s Made Men Music Group in 2016.

The 32-year-old musician made this known in an interview with Bolanle Olukanni, the host of Ndani TV’s The Juice.

Talking about his time at the record label, he said: “”That was healing to me. That was the best time of the whole situation I was in. That was the best moment cos Jazzy just opened the family and said look ‘you are one of us.

“And everybody just showed me that love cos it came from Jazzy. So it was like from Jazzy to Tiwa, to Babyfresh to everybody. It was just love and that really like gave me life because to be honest with you, I was broken,” the singer shared as he talked about the aftermath of his bitter departure from MMMG.”

Iyanya also announced that he was set to release his highly anticipated EP “Rebirth” soon.

The 2008 Project Fame winner announced his departure from Ubi Franklin’s Mode Men Music Group (Triple MG) in July 2016.

A lot of controversy trailed his exit from the label which he co-owned with Ubi.

He then joined Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records in December 2016 and signed a management deal with the Temple Management Company (TMC) which expired in December 2018.
